How Pure Is The CBD Oil That You Buy?

As more CBD companies are springing up left and right, it is becoming more important to know how pure the CBD oil you are shopping for is.

You know what they say: “Look both ways before walking the street, don’t take candy from a stranger and NEVER buy CBD oil from a gas station!” There is no topic that is more discussed in the cannabis industry than which company sells the purest CBD oil.

Where Can I Find The Best CBD Oil?

First off, there is no “best,” but there are several reputable companies that sell quality CBD oil free of chemical contamination. With that said, one study found that only about 31 percent of CBD products are accurately labeled, meaning that they are either diluted or contaminated with synthetic materials. CBD oil purity and adulteration are extremely important topics when considering which oil to buy.

While were at it, let’s debunk two myths about purity in one quick swoop: (1) Purity doesn’t guarantee that you will enjoy a therapeutic effect, and (2) purity doesn’t guarantee safety.

If you try an oil and do not get the desired effect, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the oil is fake of not “pure.” It may have more to do with the chemical constituents that are within each batch, which may mean that you’ll need to try several different brands to find the onw that works best for you.

CBD Side Effects

CBD is generally known to be safe and nontoxic. The most common side effects are:

  • fatigue
  • diarrhea
  • changes in appetite
  • changes in weight

If you’re considering using CBD it’s always a good idea to talk with your registered physician first.

If a CBD retailer doesn’t have third-party testing or is making bold claims about what their product can do, then their product probably isn’t worth buying or trying. Remember to always start with a small dose to see how your body responds before trying more.
