When it comes to smoking marijuana, munchies are inevitable, so we’re here to help you make a healthy decision.
In our opinion, they’re necessary when you’re consuming some choice cannabis. But that doesn’t mean you should be eating just anything, here’s a few different ideas to make your snacking a little healthier. From portion control, to actual snack suggestions, as well as where to locate some of these tasty treats.
Using portion control can be helpful.
if you find yourself eating ridiculously large amounts when you’re high. First, you’re going to need a couple of different preparation items in order to separate the package into smaller portions. Plastic baggies work great, but if you want bonus points for saving the environment, you could pick up some Tupperware! The only downside to Tupperware is that it will cost you a little more than plastic baggies would. What you’re going to want to do is set up a few different bags/containers to get ready to hold your newly obtained healthy snacks.
Then, place a snack-sized portion into your containers until you’ve filled a few of your containers, seal your snacks and put them in an easy-to-access place; then store the rest of the original snack container in a harder place to access so your brain opts for the more convenient snacking option. That way, you prevent yourself from eating the remaining portion in the bag, and have snacks prepared for a few smoke sessions!
Now, you’re probably thinking, “Okay now what are some healthy snacks?” Keep on reading, you’re in the right spot. Some great healthy snacks are: bananas with peanut butter (if you’re not allergic), celery, baby carrots, oranges, apples, pears, pineapple, mostly any fruit or vegetable that you can eat with little preparation. Experiment with the different combinations possible within, perhaps some sort of chopped fruit blend or vegetable medley? There are a variety of different places you can get your healthy munchies.
If possible, you should consider checking out your farmer’s market to help out local gardeners and farmers while saving some green as well. Or, if the market isn’t in season, other great options are your mom-and-pop grocery stores and super stores like Walmart or Target. However, if you’re looking for non-GMO, or even healthier health foods, places like Whole Foods or Natural Grocers are great places to check out as well. What sounds good to you? Let us know!
