Below are a few smokeable herbs that you should consider having on your radar. As always, do your best to source organic plants that are free of chemicals.
Red Raspberry Leaf: For hundreds of years, herbalists have been using this plant for gastrointestinal issues, female fertility, and as a boost for the immune system. When brewed as a tea, red raspberry leaf been said to help with menstrual cramps.
Lavender: One of the most popular herbal blends to smoke, mostly based on it’s relaxing scent. You can find lavender just about anywhere, so don’t worry about buying it if you can grab a handful from your neighbor’s garden (Always as first though!).
Damiana: Damiana is a natural aphrodisiac and helps relieve headaches, anxiety, and digestive issues.
Rosebuds: There’s nothing more attractive than a handful of dried roses. When smoked, they produce pain-relieving and antioxidant benefits. They also smell heavenly, so that’s also a plus.
Mullein: A popular and cheap base herb typically found in arid climates such as locations like Southern California. Mullein is great for smoking because it burns slow and smooth and has several multi-purpose medicinal characteristics. The herb has been shown to help with inflammation, congestion, and allergies.
Chamomile: Most likely you’ve sipped on some chamomile tea to calm down before bed, so it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise you can smoke it to get many of the same benefits.
White Sage: In the same way people like to burn sage to cleanse living spaces, white sage is an effective congestion-clearing addition to your doobie. Just don’t use much since the flavor tends to be a bit strong.
Catnip: Catnip isn’t only crack for cats, while your cat might get hyphy on the stuff, it has a calming effect on humans.
