I’m sure you are familiar with the phrase “knowledge is power.” That statement couldn’t be more true in regards to cannabis.
To understand this magical plant, it is important to understand it’s stormy past. Over the past century, the evolution of cannabis has seen new heights in the realms of medicine as well as spirituality. Here is a list of my personal favorite cannabis books that I recommend all you bookworms to dive into.
#1. THE CANNABIS MANIFESTO: A NEW PARADIGM FOR WELLNESS
The Cannabis Manifesto: A New Paradigm for Wellness, written by Steve DeAngelo, founder of the largest medical cannabis dispensary in the world. This book dives deep with visual perception, but most of all, it is a call to action. It answers all the important questions about cannabis. One of my favorite things about this book is that it encourages the reader to question both their perceptions and knowledge of cannabis. Steve DeAnglo discusses cannabis law, history, as well as the psychological, physical and spiritual effects of cannabis.
#2 THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES: HEMP AND THE MARIJUANA CONSPIRACY
This cannabis classic was published by Jack Herer in 1985. In the book, Herer talks about the the shaky history of cannabis and the fibs surrounding it. This book broke stereotypes and highlighted the extensive potential of one of the most useful plants on the planet. One of the most complete and illuminating cannabis books to date, Herer collected data and did years of analysis before publishing. While the legend Jack Herer is no longer upon us, he played his part for the community and made it to where anyone could access this information free of charge. One of the best cannabis books on the market, you can read The Emperor Wears No Clothes for Free here.
#3 BEYOND BUDS: MARIJUANA EXTRACTS – HASH, VAPING, DABBING, EDIBLES, AND MEDICINES
Beyond Buds is a handbook to the future of marijuana. Prohibition’s end has led to a technological revolution that’s generated powerful medicines and products containing almost zero carcinogens and little smoke. Cannabis icon, Ed Rosenthal, guides readers through the best new consumer products, and demonstrates how to make and use the safest, cleanest extracts. Beyond Buds goes into detail and shows how it’s all done. Marijuana leaf and trim used to be considered trash, but this book explains how to transform that trash’ into high-quality stash.’
#4 THE ABCs OF CBD
In this book, Author Shira Adler explains “why pot is NOT what we were taught.” After centuries of misinformation, The ABCs of CBD goes into detail on what the medical benefits of CBD are and how it differentiates from the psychoactive ingredient, THC. As more and more people become cannacurious everyday, this book does an amazing job of clarifying what exactly CBD is. This is definitely a must read for anyone who is eager to learn more, and teach about cannabis.
#5 CANNABIS AND SPIRITUALITY
Cannabis and Spirituality is the type of book that will get you into your creative flow, especially if you like to toke up before reading. Edited by Stephen Grey and forwarded by M.D., Julie Holland, author of another cannabis must read, The Pot Book, this book ultimately this is a guide to the benefits and challenges of the use of cannabis in spiritual practice. If you are looking to dive deep into your subconscious and retrieve more insight of your reality, then this book is a great addition to your library.
